Martin Morenz - New England News Producer and Reporter

A veteran news producer and newscaster, Martin Morenz held leadership positions in the media industry for over two decades. Starting in the mid-1980s at WMTW TV/Newschannel 8, he served as Portland, Maine, bureau chief and was an active community presence, presenting at events sponsored by the ABC affiliate. Martin Morenz next took on a role as a live reporter and fill-in anchor with WJAR TV/Newschannel 10, responsible for the 6 pm and 11 pm newscasts.

Mr. Morenz engaged as WNDS TV/News 50 news director in the early 2000s. Based in Derry, New Hampshire, he guided the daily activities of a dozen-strong team and was responsible for operational elements, including production and the newsroom budget. Mr. Morenz also has experience in Derry with WBIN TV/News at 10 as senior reporter and news director, and he covered hard-fought congressional elections and presidential primaries.

His background includes a teaching role with the Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, Maine. When regular teachers were absent, he handled high school classrooms and ensured students remained academically focused and completed curriculum assignments. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston's Northeastern University.
